directly on the production machine
There is now an assured process for CNC controlled dressing of
ceramic-bonded diamond wheels directly on the production machine. Previously
this had to be done as a dry grinding process with “soft” SiC tools on separate
machines. The new "Diamond-Dressing System" (DDS) from Saint-Gobain
Abrasives profiles V+ wheels without time-consuming tool changes. This is made
possible with new Winter diamond dressing wheels which achieve significantly
better roughness and notchiness – and with considerable savings in time and
costs as well. The dressed diamond wheels are ready for use without any
additional sharpening being required.
